There are, of course,
hundreds, even thousands of different designs that can be executed in
stained glass. This page represents just a few of the more common styles
that have emerged over the years. By no means is this meant to be a definitive
list, just think of them as a starting place to get a better idea of the
kind of window that fits into the design of your space.
1. Victorian
The highly ornamented style of art and architecture popular in 19th century
England. Stained glass panels are usually very symmetrical.

2. Modern/Abstract
A style in which shape, color and pattern predominate without representing
any natural or man-made object.

3. Art Nouveau
A style of decoration and architecture of the late 19th and early 20th
centuries, characterized particularly by the depiction of leaves and flowers
in flowing, sinuous lines.
4. Prairie Style
A highly geometrical style originally conceived by the late architect
Frank Lloyd Wright. These windows are characterized by having large areas
of clear glass and small brightly colored or opalescent accents.

5. Quarry Windows
Typically, Quarry windows are diamond shaped and individually decorated
with small stained glass emblems that sometimes include heraldic devices.
This type of window was quite popular during the 15th century in England
and is often found in Tudor style homes today.

6. Celtic
Any number of designs adapted from early Irish and Scottish Illuminated
Manuscripts.
